Lara Jean Chorostecki could never be accused of sticking within narrow margins. Nabbing roles in the realms of drama, comedy, crime, science fiction, fantasy, and horror, Lara Jean is an actress known for her versatility and craft, both on screen and stage.

Born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Lara Jean discovered her love for acting at the age of 8 after watching a theatre production of Les Miserables.

Beginning her professional acting career as a teenager at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, she was the youngest member to ever be accepted into Stratford’s Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training.

Lara Jean then found herself in London, England where she completed her Masters in Classical Acting at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Named one of Canada's 13 Shining Stars in by Real Style Magazine, Lara Jean can be recognized for her film and television roles in highly acclaimed series including NBC's Hannibal, as ruthless tabloid blogger Freddie Lounds, Sergeant Krystina Breeland, in CBC's emotionally-driven WWII drama X Company (Canadian Screen Award Nomination), ABC's smash hit Designated Survivor as Beth MacLeish, Starz/CBC miniseries Camelot, Brandon Cronenberg’s feature film Antiviral (official selection of both Cannes and TIFF), the lead in the indie rom-com Please Kill Mr. Know it All (Canadian Comedy Award Nomination), Charlie in CTV's Dan for Mayor (another Canadian Comedy Award Nomination), and BBC America’s 1860s Irish cop drama Copper where she guest stars as Sybil O’Brien.

Lara Jean's guest star turns have included roles on the CW’s hit series Beauty and the Beast, CBS's American Gothic, Fox's Houdini and Doyle, SyFy's Haven, Showcase's Lost Girl, CTV's Saving Hope, NBC's The Listener and more.
